Ranger Boats Introduces Fish & Cruise Pontoons

Bass and multi-species fishing boat manufacturer Ranger Boats has introduced two new Fish & Cruise pontoons, the Reata 223FC and 220FC. The boats combine features for fishing and cruising, basically with the bow areas being used for cruising and the stern set up for angling. In this video, Boating magazine’s Randy Vance checks out the new boats.

Forward, the bow areas are spacious with a large deck area that has twin lounges with storage in the base and two new helm seats that have self-leveling armrests. The port side gate has stainless-steel latching and is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

At amidships is another couch-style lounge to port with the helm to starboard in a console that has a glove box door to accept electronics up to 7”. New for 2019 is a larger bimini top to provide more protection from the elements.

Aft, the boats have new fishing chairs, an aerated livewell with an integrated baitwell bucket, storage and cup and tool holders. A stern gate with another stainless-steel latch provides access to the boarding platform with a ladder.

All the new furniture features fully wrapped custom upholstery and LED lighting. The interiors are available in a choice of gray or tan with matching woven flooring and the pontoons are finished in powder-coating available in black or charcoal.

The new boats measure 24’2” with an 8’6” beam. The 223FC can take up to a 200-hp outboard and has a fuel capacity of 52 gallons. The 220FC is rated for a 150-hp motor and carries up to 32 gallons of fuel.
